This policy explains what information Hope Still Hypnosis collects through this website, what happens to it, and how long it is kept. It is short because the site does very little.

What this website does not do
It is worth stating plainly what is not happening here, because most privacy policies imply far more than the site behind them actually does.
- There are no user accounts and no way to log in
- There is no public directory, profile, or member list
- Nothing you do on this site is visible to other visitors
- No payments are taken through this website
What you give us
The only information you actively give this website is through its forms. There are two kinds, and they ask for slightly different things.
The short form on each individual service page, such as Quit Smoking or Stress and Anxiety, asks for your name, your email address, your phone number, and whether you would rather be contacted by phone or by email.
The forms on the Book Now and Contact pages ask for your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, which type of session you are interested in, whether you would prefer to meet in person or online, and your preferred days and times.
Every form also carries one hidden field that you will never see and never fill in. Automated spam programs do fill it in, and any submission that arrives with it completed is discarded rather than sent on. It is there to keep junk out of the inbox.
There is deliberately no open message box on any form. The forms do not ask you to describe your health, your history, or what you want to work on. If you want to talk about what brings you here, that conversation happens by phone or email with Hope directly, rather than being typed into a web form.
One thing worth being straight about: like every web form, a submission records which page it was sent from. A form sent from the Quit Smoking page therefore shows that you were reading about quitting smoking. If you would rather that was not recorded anywhere, call or text 609-534-3391 instead and nothing is stored.
What is collected automatically
Like most websites, some information is gathered automatically as you browse, whether or not you ever fill in a form. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, which pages you visited, the date and time, how long you spent on a page, and general device information.
On every page, this comes from two places: Google Analytics 4, and the standard access logs kept by Vercel, which hosts the site. It is used to understand how the site is being used and to keep it running. It is not used to identify you personally.
Google Analytics uses your IP address to work out roughly what part of the world you are in and then discards it rather than storing it. Vercel's access logs are the ones that hold an IP address, and they are technical records of pages being served, not a profile of you.
The Contact page adds a third place. It shows a Google map of where the studio is, and the map is served by Google. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and the same technical details your browser sends to any website, and may set or read its own cookies in your browser. That happens on the Contact page only. None of it comes to us, and what Google does with it is governed by Google's privacy policy. The Contact page works without the map.
Service providers
Six services, from three companies, handle information on our behalf. Each is named rather than described in the abstract, because "a third party analytics provider" tells you nothing. Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does with what it receives:
- Basin, which receives and stores form submissions and forwards them to Hope by email
- Google Analytics 4, which reports on how the site is used
- Google Ads, which measures whether an advertisement led to an inquiry
- Google Maps, which supplies the map of the studio's location on the Contact page, and in doing so receives your IP address and may set or read Google cookies in your browser
- Google Tag Manager, which loads the Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads tags onto the site, and itself collects nothing about you and sets no cookies
- Vercel, which hosts the website and processes technical data including IP addresses in order to serve pages
These providers may have access to information about your activity on this site in order to perform their function. We do not give any of them information for any other purpose.
If any of these is ever swapped for a different company, this page gets updated with the new name.
What happens to it
Form submissions go to Basin, a form handling service. Basin stores each submission in its own account and also forwards it to Hope by email, so there are two copies of anything you send: one held by Basin, and one in Hope's inbox. At the practice, Hope is the only person who reads them.
Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone for marketing. It is used to answer your inquiry and arrange your session, and for nothing else.
There is no mailing list and no newsletter. Filling in a form does not sign you up for anything.
How long it is kept
Form submissions are kept for up to two years and then deleted, from Basin and from the inbox both.
Deleting them is something Hope does by hand rather than something the system does on a schedule, so it is a policy rather than a mechanism. If you would like yours removed sooner, email hopestillhypnosis@gmail.com and it will be done.
Advertising
Hope Still Hypnosis runs Google Ads. If you arrive from one of those ads and then send a form, Google records that the ad led to an inquiry. That is how we know whether advertising is worth paying for.
What is not happening: this site does not run remarketing. Your browsing here is not used to build an audience list, and it is not used to show you ads on other websites afterwards. Nothing you send through a form is ever shared for advertising of any kind.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies. What they are and how to control them is set out in the Cookies Policy.
Security
The security of your information matters, but no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure. Reasonable measures are used to protect what you send, but absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
When we may have to disclose information
Your information may be disclosed if required to do so by law, or in response to a valid request from a public authority such as a court or a government agency.
It may also be disclosed where there is a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to protect and defend our rights or property, to investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the site, to protect the personal safety of users or the public, or to protect against legal liability.
If the business changes hands
If Hope Still Hypnosis is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information held may be transferred as part of that. You would be given notice before that happened and before any different privacy policy applied to it.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hopestillhypnosis@gmail.com and it will be handled.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under your state's privacy law, such as the right to ask what is held about you or to have it deleted. Email the address above and we will do what the law requires.
Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies, and Google provides a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across every website. Both are covered in the Cookies Policy.
This site does not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing here to opt out of on that front.
Children
This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Hypnosis sessions for minors are arranged directly with a parent or guardian, never through a form submitted by a child.
Links to other sites
This site links out to Facebook, Instagram, and a Google Business Profile. Once you follow one of those links you are on their platform and subject to their privacy practices, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
